Welcome to the World Cora Azalea!

At a month old, Miss Cora has had quite a busy first few weeks of life! Cora accidentally forgot to grow the roof of her mouth while she was developing, so mom and dad (and the grandparents and Aunt Marisa) have been busy figuring out how to feed her with a special bottle and are continuously learning how to take care of her other cleft palate shenanigans. It's been challenging, but because she is so darn cute, it is totally worth it :) She will have a surgery or two to fix her palate when she is about a year old and will most likely have speech therapy for a few years, but right now we are just trying to put some weight on her tiny little bones!  So, her round-the-clock activities currently consist of eating, pooping, making adorable piggy sounds and sleeping (while making adorable piggy noises).  Today was extra special because she scooted around and stared at her purple elephant. Yesterday she finally got back up to her birth weight of 6 pounds and one ounce! Mom was SO happy!! Hopefully the ounces will continue to stick!

Stay tuned for more exciting Coraisms to come, and enjoy some cute photos below, and don't miss the amazing video Aunt Marisa made at the top of this post!
