Nana and Poppa's Visit: 2nd Stop - Castle de Chillon

On the shores of Lake Geneva, nestled below the Swiss Alps, lies the spectacular Castle de Chillion - truly a sight out of a fairy tale. Surrounded by a moat, this castle was thought to have been originally built in the 12th century, and was an inspiration to writers such as Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Victor Hugo and Lord Byron. The castle has a pretty incredible history and I was extremely happy to take my parents here, although the journey on public transpiration was a little tricky and included 3 trains and a boat to access the castle. But, Cora was able to take her very first boat ride, and I think this was a highlight of her summer. She LOVED it! All she wanted to do was jump in and play with the fish, so it took all my strength just to hold onto her, at least until my dad decided to go show her the engine and the wheels, which she liked even more than the waves and obsessing over "fishes."

Boat wheel! Cora loved it.

Paddy Cake! (Cora's favorite castle activity.)
